Tina and the good folks at Mt. Moka have been gracious enough to allow us to display our new printed views on plywood in their friendly, warm and cozy cafe! If you're local you probably drop in regularly as is, but if you're from out of town heading up or down the hill be sure to take a break here! Best coffee in town and fast, consistent service! Located in downtown Sandy, OR on HWY 26 (Pioneer Blvd) on the left side heading East towards Mt. Hood, across the street from the infamous Joe's Donut.

We're excited to announce that we have a very limited selection of some of our most popular triptych views printed directly on wood! We found a local printer who helped make this dream a reality and we're really pleased with the results! Bold, UV resistant ink that allows a hint of the natural sanded maple plywood's grain to show through! Coupled with one of our signature distressed rustic window-style frames results in the perfect combination for that timeless Pacific Northwest feel.
Note: Our first run was very limited, with only 1 print for each image, with a few exceptions. However, if things go well, we can do more runs, more frequently! Knock on Wood!

We’re already over a month into this year’s tulip festival and the flowers are in full bloom! The beautiful weather has been such a blessing and the organizers have done a stellar job keeping things safe and orderly! We have met so many cool people and the reactions we've been getting in regard to our rustic window frames have been so positive and encouraging! We weren’t sure how the festival would go this year given the situation, but it has been very good so far! This is great for us, but the only downside is that our stock of prints (aka “views”) is being depleted a lot faster than we had anticipated. For those who are interested in purchasing, sooner really is better than later for best selection! Just to be safe, contact us to check availability before ordering, since our website is not always 100% up to date! (We are not able to ship, but can meet locally in/near Sandy, Oregon.) Thank you for supporting and hope to see you at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm in Woodburn!

Can't believe it's almost that time again! The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival starts in less than 2 days!!! We're building a special structure this year and would love for you to stop by and check things out! Also, we've adopted a slightly different approach recently, where Lone's signature frames take center stage! He has really stepped it up, and when you lay eyes on his latest creations, you'll agree these are works of art in their own right! Going forward, we will be showcasing some of his best window-style frames on our Instagram page. Those interested will get to preview the frames before they are available, and they'll have first crack at purchasing ones that appeal to them! Be sure to follow us to stay in the loop!
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Tickets to the Tulip Festival are NOT being sold at the gate this year due to the current situation with COVID-19. If you'd like to attend, entrance passes can be purchased on Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm's website.

Happy belated holidays and happy belated New Year! And with all this happiness, I'd like to add we're happy to announce that we're happy to be able to take part in the upcoming Tulip Festival (March 19 - May 2)!!! It will be our first event since...the opening weekend of last year's festival (which was also the closing weekend)! So little has taken place, yet so much has happened since then! We've missed you all so much and we're really looking forward to seeing you in the beautiful spring weather outdoors in the open air amongst the rainbow of colors painted by the blossoming tulips! We will be taking precautions of course - socially distancing while masking up - which has pretty much become second nature for us all by now, in an effort to keep everyone healthy and safe! See y'all soon!!!

It is with great regret that we announce the closing of our shop in downtown Sandy, OR. Due to the current circumstances it is not practical to maintain the gallery, but want to say *THANK YOU* to all those who have supported [and continue to support] us! Though we will certainly miss this space, we are looking forward to our next manifestation, which is already in the works. Check back once in a while for updates on our progress! We would love to see you there once we get it rolling!
In regard to events, all of our major shows have been cancelled, as large gatherings are not permitted. However, for those who are interested in our artwork, feel free to contact us for purchasing options.
Naturally, Hood Yoga cannot be held at the gallery either, but the Facebook page has current info about occasional outdoor classes taught by the lovely Dee Tullis. Click here to be transported there.
We wish everyone the best of luck and good health in these strange and uncertain times! We'll get through this! As they used to say, keep hope alive!
Much LOVE -
Troy and Lone (aka "Trone")

For those of you who don't already know, the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn has been canceled. It's very unfortunate, but given the circumstances, this is a necessary precaution. Our shop in Sandy is also closed for the time being, in accordance with Oregon's mandate. We have decided, however, to offer shipping when possible. Feel free to contact us anytime in regard to pricing or any other questions you may have! We hope you remain safe and healthy in this trying time, and look forward to seeing you soon!

We hope you all are doing well in these uncertain times! As of the now, we'll have a presence at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival in Woodburn, OR starting this Friday, March 20th. Given that it will take place on a 100-acre tulip farm which is completely outdoors, the state has granted the farm permission to allow people on the grounds. We will keep you informed about our location via our website and Instagram page. Feel free to call or email anytime as well!
On a positive note, Lone has been busy building some exciting new offerings, so be sure to look for our setup on the field just in front of the wooden shoemaker's shop at the tulip festival!
Here's to a Happy St. Paddy's Day, good luck and a four-leaf clover for everyone!
Happy New Year! Hopefully the holidays were good to everyone! 2019 was a year of significant change and unexpected obstacles, but it was also a year of learning, and therefore growth. We feel this is just the beginning and welcome the possibilities we see emerging on the horizon. We will be working on implementing a number of new ideas and mapping out what we feel is an exciting shift in direction. Because of this, however, the gallery will be open by appointment only (for the time being at least). We will still be doing festivals and such, and Hood Yoga will continue, as will various weekend music events as posted. Feel free to contact us anytime if you have any questions or would like to stop by the gallery. We'll be updating our website with changes accordingly, so please check back soon to see what we're up to! Thank you for helping us get this far, and we're looking forward to seeing you in 2020!

This holiday season we've decided to change it up! We'll be at Vancouver Mall for the entire month of December, starting on Friday, November 29th ("Black Friday")! This will be our first time having a presence there and we are looking forward to meeting the great folks on the other side of the river! We'll have our PNW themed prints in our signature handmade rustic frames, with a few images of Seattle, Mt Rainier, and the like for our Washingtonian friends! Find us on the First Floor between The Body Shop and the entrance, near Good 'ol Saint Nick!
NOTE: Due to long holiday hours at the mall, our hours at Hood Art Gallery will be limited. Be sure to call in advance if you're thinking to stop by. Thank you!

Tell your friends! Tell your grandma! Tell your grandma's friends! We would love to get an eclectic mix of singers, songwriters, poets, comedians, etc to share what's on their mind to not only entertain, but also to enlighten the rest of us! Everyone is busy, but hopefully you can make time once a month - or once every other month - to stop by and check it out!
Looking forward to seeing you here!

While marshmallows aren't necessarily in vogue at the moment, music is (and probably always will be). We're excited to be able to rekindle that aspect of our spot in Sandy, and figure we can use this opportunity to usher in a new appreciation for marshmallows - even if it's only on the coattails of one of Portland's newest and finest modern day pop bands, CHAD!
August 31, 2019
We've embarked on our Portland area Farmers Market Tour 2019! We'll be popping up at a number of markets, from Sandy and Happy Valley, to Hillsboro and a few places in between. Come out and see us in the wild if you're feeling adventurous! Check back here on weekends to see where the pin drops!
July 29, 2019
We'll be omnipresent this weekend! We just jumped on the Deschutes County Fair & Rodeo (in Redmond, OR) and we'll also be at Rockaway Beach for their Kite Festival! Both of these are a first for us, so we're looking forward to the new adventures that await! Come share the excitement if you're headed east or west!

Our yoga teacher, Isenia, will not be able to teach classes at the gallery for a while. However, we are fortunate to have Dee Tullis' guidance most Wednesdays. Feel free to drop in for another perspective - you will not be disappointed! For more info, check the Hood Yoga Facebook page!
June 24, 2019
At this time we would like to focus more on our local friends and neighbors at shows, festivals and our gallery, so we are no longer able to offer shipping for our artwork. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope to see you soon!
May 20, 2019
It has been a long time coming, but we're finally pleased to present our new line of photography artwork on Saturday, June 8th, 2019! We're excited to be featuring the work of Amy Yant (who will be in attendance!), who is contributing a number of amazing shots from the Oregon coast as well as the mountains. Our own Lone Wolf Ballentine will be unveiling his new images, naturally, and all prints will be available in our signature rustic-style frames!
The day will begin with a yoga class lead by our Hood Yoga teacher, Isenia. Following the class will be snacks provided by Adamah Collective, who will be catering the event. Locally sourced ingredients for delicious and healthy food! (Fun fact: their goods will be available as well!). Art viewing can be done throughout the day (after yoga), and local beer/wine will be available for purchase as well. In the evening we will have tarot reading by Shiloh Ayala and music will be provided by DJ Bluegrass and DJ Sober, which will round out the night.
Please R.S.V.P. so we'll know how much food to prepare, etc!
More info to follow!
